A man returned to his home to find a burglar who assaulted him Sunday, said police.
Police say the 50-year-old man returned to his home in the 100 block of Lawndale Avenue and found a side door had been forced open. When he entered the home, he was assaulted by the intruder, said police.

I think that crimes committed against individuals should be dealt publicly.
majority rules are the word. Everyone who was a victim of a similiar crime gets to say what the penalty is and it should be held every Saturday morning at Portage and Main like they use to do in France with the Guillotine.
I’m not talkin about killingthe fools but handing out some severe penalty that they wont foget. a nice caning like in Singapore would be a nice penalty for a 1st offence with some jailtime involved. Repeat crimes against individuals gets more severe, thats what I’d like to see and even broadcast it on TV.
We as humans seem to be getting softer to all this crap, not tougher. Thats 1 place where the Muslim world is ahead of us, in handimng out penalties for crime, but I admit some is pretty severe….
