   Criminals already know that these chases get aborted anyway; all they have to do is run faster. Wrong message? Why not chase them till they fall into a ditch somewhere or force them to crash? or even deliberately ram them with a crown vic ? p.i.t them? Just to send the message that if you try and run, we get even more pissed off ! one Mustang vs. five Crown vics would have made for a great chase!

   All comes down to judges though. Who wants to work so hard catching a fugitive that never pays the price by going to jail?

   Was a V6 Mustang, not a fast car. I’m not sure why they don’t chase like in the states. There they force you to wreck so they catch you.

   Because in the US, collateral damage is blamed on the criminal. Here, a PIT would result in an injured criminal, covered by MPI as a result of a motor vehicle collision. Possible injury to innocent bystanders, along with property damage would be blamed on police, not the bad guy. And any death as a result would have officers fired, and sued. Here if police let the criminals go, they’re less likely to kill someone trying to run from them.

   Westend you are right,and the sooner we end the nannystate in Canada the better.It looks like the system might slowly be coming around.In the past year violent criminals have been deported despite the tearful pleas of their lawyer$.gang members have been found guilty of contempt and sent to jail,a coke dealer went to prison for 10yrs and the judge blasted his supporters and all their glowing character references.

   I think its getting better but there is still a long way to go in holding criminals accountable for their actions and not the Police,Victims,society,poverty or whatever else some bearded liberal faggot would have us believe.

   If as much time was spent punishing criminals as it is trying to stamp out racism and stifle free speech we might get somewhere.And to David Matas et al;If you can spend countless hours and millions of dollars rounding up 90yr old war criminals and deport them for war crimes that happened 70yrs ago in another country you can goddamn well deport some Somali thug who is violent and out of control in THIS country ,right NOW.

   So a bunch of FASD retards in a stolen Avalance BZG342? killed a cabbie on Portage avenue earlier today. The only good thing about this is that one of the thieves got ejected and got ran over by another car.

   Seriously! What is it going to take to take real action against this sort of stupidity? These are the same fucktards running over cops! Car thieves just disgust me!

   Its too bad the little f*cker wasn’t killed.Of course the poor working stiff who’s bustin’ his ass,payin’ taxes so these little P.O.S. get a check at the end of the month was killed.How many cabbies have been killed by stolen cars?How many newspaper delivery guys?tow truck drivers? guys on bikes?people driving to work?How many more are going to die?

   Just a suggestion Cabbie but cabbies are the eyes and ears of the city most cabbies know where the boose cans and drug dens are, they take customers there 24/7. Maybe just maybe if this last death means anything to them they will set up their our rat line to the police.
   Ratting out the guy that did you wrong feels GREAT the only ones who don’t like a rat are the ones that are getting ratted on. So if you know something tell the cops after all the next victms might be your kids and wife or YOU.

   Definitely wpg.man ! I never miss an opportunity to get some retards busted. That’s why I always carry the internet print-out of the latest stolen vehicles and always call in.

   This is extremely sad and tragic and it could happen to any motorist or pedestrian out there. Last year it was a tow truck driver girl, then a mother going to work, and now a cabbie.

   Car theft is not just property crime. It’s the #1 Public safety issue in Winnipeg.
